There's No Such Thing as a Pumpkin Pie Hater

There are so many different kinds of pies in the world; apple, blueberry, raspberry, cherry, key lime, and most importantly pumpkin. Just imagine a big slice of your grandma’s homemade pumpkin pie with so much whipped cream the pie has almost disappeared sitting right in front of you after a huge feast. That’s the way I eat mine. That’s the only way to eat it. I don’t understand people who just put one itty bitty little baby dot of whipped cream right in the middle of their piece of pie. What’s the point? How far is that going to get you? Nowhere. You got to go big or go home on Thanksgiving.

If you claim to hate pumpkin pie, you’re lying.  Not liking pumpkin pie is like not liking cider mill donuts…everyone likes them. Most people who eat cider mill donuts feel guilty afterwards because they are so fattening, but pumpkin pie is guilt free because it’s technically a vegetable and a fruit! Plus, by this time during the feast, you have already probably eaten your weight in turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing, so it’s a little too late for guilt. There is no question that pumpkin pie is the best thing to eat at Thanksgiving.

Reuse Reduce Recycle

For my essay this week I chose to write about recycling and the importance of it. I love everything about the Earth; the nature, the flowers, and the sky especially, and I would like to keep it clean for as long as possible. Littering is one of my biggest pet peeves so I thought this would be a perfect topic for me to look into just to learn a little more about the benefits. I know, as I’m sure you do as well, that recycling is a great thing. We should be recycling resources, not garbage.

Many people say that they don’t have time to recycle or that it’s a waste of time, which are two of the biggest excuses I have ever heard. I hope to learn and share more of the cons of recycling (if there are any). Recycling is easy and helps the environment, how much more could you ask for? It’s not hard to help Mother Nature out when you can.
